I have been hitting up the Goodwill's around LA recently and just happen to score amazing stuff everytime. I ran into this vintage Yves Saint Laurent blouse in Santa Monica and these high-waisted shorts in the SF Valley. Together, they make up the ultimate summer ensemble that allows me to move freely anywhere, anytime. Most of my jewelry is vintage, but I like to mix in my rings from Forever 21 and Obey. But, I'm constantly on the look out for new designer pieces. Hope you enjoy these funky photos!Overall, my weekend was pretty chill. I went on a really long 5 mile hike with one of my best friends (whom I'm hoping to photograph for my blog!). I did get a nice light tan and some really sore muscles! But it feels so good to get out there in the mountains and just sweat all your toxins out! My friends and I also went to Ventura Beach to read and relax. Right now, I'm reading Lolita which I totally recommend. I've just been releasing a ton of energy which feels great and refreshing. That's what I love about summer, the endless opportunities to enjoy yourself!I try to use some of my time browsing the latest lookbooks of all my favorite designers as well. Here, I have brand spankin new images of Z Berg of The Like, and model Hailey Gates for ! Wren's soft fabrics and darling prints always keep me coming back for more. The cuts and shapes are my favorite. Girl-y with a little masculinity thrown in. It's no wonder girls like Z Berg and Hailey Gates are the faces for their latest collection. Simplicity

With all the bright Summer colors floating about, I almost forgot how much I love a simple gray and black outfit. It brings me back to Alexander Wang Fall 2008, my absolute favorite collection...and the show's really good soundtrack that I usually end up playing when I need some good tunes. I'm wearing an Elaine Kim cashmere crop top, Urban Outfitters trousers, vintage bag, and THE most comfortable Cole Haan sandals. It's summer, a good excuse to show some skin with a crop top! Anywho, I'm just super happy it's almost the weekend! It's been one of the longest weeks for me including studying, exams, and castings. Much more coming up... but on the bright side, I have only about 2 more weeks till my trip to the East Coast! I'll be working on a really awesome project with one of my favorite brands! I can't wait to get the ball rolling! But first, I gotta pay my dues :)

I spent this afternoon writing up my paper for my crammed summer course. work + school= exhaustion. But only about 2 more weeks left of class and I'm freeeeeee! Here I am in my study strown across the floor (loose papers and books not pictured). The sun coming in through the shutters looked super cool so Dylana snapped some pictures. Who knew my study's hardwood floors would be my new favorite backdrop? I'm wearing the new along with old Earnest Sewn denim shorts. The jacket has the best fit ever and is super light. Dreamy is the word. It's official, you can call me an ivory lace wearing obsesser GEEK...that needs major sleep. Night night everyone! Enjoy your week :)

Luxe Linens

My latest discovery, Queen's Wardrobe! I was browsing their site and fell in love with their easy and wearable pieces. Here I'm wearing their Chiffon Skirt. It's gorgeous, no doubt about it. Most importantly, it has a nice luxurious quality and slim fit. Not something that is easy to find at a good price! This time of year, I'm all for linens and soft, neutral tones. It's getting hot so I know I'll be living in leg flaunting looks!It's only Tuesday and my week is already looking crazy. The next few days I'm shooting the Volcom ad campaign!! I'm super excited. I love their cool street style and I feel so lucky to be a part of the brand. And there are some cool events coming up this week, so I hope I find the time to attend and bring my friends along! Along with all the madness, I've got school. Poo! Major cram summer course, so I'll be hitting the books in between bllaaa. But do enjoy your week everyone! I'll keep you posted :)

Sleepyhead

When I spotted this dress on the Ramona West Vintage website, I knew I had to have it! And I'm so happy I got it! The ivory lace is so beautiful and I love the structured shoulders. Vintage with a modern twist. It reminds me of an old wedding dress that was slashed at the hem, to make a cute mini dress. It's both casual and dressy. I like that it can go both ways. But the little details, like the buttons on the sleeves are what I love most! And once again, sporting my Forever 21 cross necklace! I love it so much :) I recently bought one of those Forever 21 cross double-connected rings. They are so fun that you kind of forget that you can't really use two fingers lol!But as for exciting news, the Virgin Mobile commercial shoot was so dope! It was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who also recently directed the Lady Gaga "Telephone" music video. The whole scene was: I was lying down getting a huge tattoo across my back, wearing crazy studded leather pants and studded wedges, all while chatting on my mobile phone to a friend. At the same time, my tattoo artist wasn't even paying attention to his work and was texting. Therefore, I got a completely messed up tattoo. It is super funny, despite my poor description lol! It was such a new experience for me. We had to do different takes so that the camera gets every angle, (my face, the phone, etc). So much work and so many people involved! It was tiring but I had a total blast. Definitely an eye-opening experience! :)Now I look forward to just chilling with friends this weekend and catching up on sleep! I didn't get home until 2am yesterday... after getting pulled over by a cop b/c one of my headlights went out. Scarrryyyyyyy! But no ticket thank goodness!Here are a few photographs that I found saved to my computer. I love the relaxed, sleepy vibe. Exactly how I feel right now...

Shred It to Bits

My latest obsession: this shredded Storets sweater! It's so cool, super easy to wear, and light enough for late summer nights. Don't mine my nasty dirty hair. These photos were snapped after a day of shooting for WWD. I was so beat and it definitely shows! The cross necklace is Forever 21, one of my absolute favorite places to shop thanks to their incredibly cute designs and affordable prices. It's hard not to walk out of that store without buying something!

Click and check out the whole feature :) It was awesome visiting the Forever 21 headquarters downtown and getting to play around with their pieces and create my own looks!It's been a crazy week with shooting, seeing a show over at the Troubador with friends, and working on booking flights for a really cool project I'll be doing next month! Can't wait to share it with you guys! But do you know what's really insane? I'm shooting a Virgin Mobile commercial next week! I'm nervous, excited, and kind of scared all at the same time! Seaside

This past weekend, I took a drive to Ventura Beach. It's such a relaxed beach, I love it! It was the perfect day: clear skies and really warm weather. So incredibly beautiful! Another thing I love about the beach? How it is totally cool to walk around with an exposed midriff! This vintage crop top is one of my favorite things ever because it's so unique with the lace sleeves and shoulders. I haven't been shopping in so long, so I decided to hit the thrift stores. The Ventura thrift shops are so much fun to browse. They are all in a row next to one another which makes things a lot easier! I bought a few button-ups and cool high waisted denim shorts which I'll be living in this summer. And oooo, remember the little fashion collaboration I did?
