and I took us down to the south of Philly for a visit to the Italian Festival which happens only once a year. I'm so happy that it happened to be occurring the weekend I was there. It was like a massive street party. There were people EVERYWHERE and the DJ was playing really awesome loud music. I just wanted to get up and dance! There were numerous street vendors selling fresh fruit, any poultry you want (did i tell you about kangaroo?!), and booze (lots of booze). I fell in love with the little mom n pop shops. During our walk there, we even stumbled upon a cute vintage garage sale. Dylana picked up that amazing leopard coat. As for the weather, the sun was out for the first time that weekend and it was humid. It left us craving iced tea and large slices of pizza! Ended our evening thrift shopping in the charming Old City before heading back to Kim's for a night of burgers, beers, and lots of laughter. There really couldn't have been a better way to spend a Sunday in Philadelphia!
